Small Ruminant Recipient Program

Here at ReproLogix™ we believe healthy recipients are an integral aspect of any successful reproductive program so purchasing, processing, and providing high quality care for recipients is a crucial aspect of our day to day operations. We are pleased to offer our clients two different small ruminant recipient programs to better meet their needs. Option one is a simple “haul in” program where you, the client, are able to haul your recipients into one of our facilities the day before or day of transfer. Option two is a recipient housing operation where we handle all recipient programming, set up, and post transfer care. ReproLogix™ is also pleased to announce a recipient ordering program where we will source, care for, and set up recipients for transfer.

“Haul in” Small Ruminant Recipients

Recipients owned by the client which are hauled in the day before or day of transfer. These recipients will also be transported back on farm immediately after transfer.

  • Recommended programming of recipients:

    • ReproLogix™ recommends utilization of females known to be reproductively sound or virgins produced by reproductively sound females.

    • ReproLogix™ recommends these females be a body condition score between 2.5 and 3.5 out of 5.0 at time of transfer.

    • ReproLogix™ recommends these females receive a CD&T vaccination according to manufacturer instructions or comparable product and be dewormed according to your primary care veterinarian’s direction at least 60 days prior to transfer.

    • ReproLogix™ recommends utilization of a nutritional flush (increasing nutritional supplementation) 2-4 weeks prior to transfer, as well as, utilization of a high-quality free choice mineral specific for your sheep or goats.

Small Ruminant Recipient Housing and Programming

Recipients owned by the client which are hauled into one of our facilities at least 30 days prior to transfer date; However, we recommend that these recipients be housed at our facility at least 45 days (2 weeks nutritional flush plus approximately 23 day synchronization). These recipients can be transported back on farm immediately after transfer or remain housed at ReproLogix up to 100 days after transfer (recipients not picked up before 100 days post transfer will incur extra charges).

  • Recommended programming of recipients pre-drop off:
